About project


SEO transformation project for Aetherhaus, a Vancouver-based cold plunge and sauna company, that started July 2025 to September 2025. The project focused on foundational SEO, content, NAP (Name, Address, Phone number consistency), backlink and brand mentions, and technical optimization.

The Challenge and Opportunity


Aetherhaus had a beautiful physical experience but little digital visibility. Despite offering a premium wellness service in Vancouver, they were buried deep in search results, with only 556 organic visitors per month and low authority.

BEFORE (July 2025)

  • 556 monthly organic visitors

  • 141 returning users

  • Weak keyword rankings (e.g. “ice bath and sauna” at position 58)

AFTER (September 2025)

  • 2,969 monthly organic visitors (433.99% increase)

  • 929 returning users (558% increase)

  • “Ice bath and sauna” improved from position 58 → 5

  • Multiple keywords ranked in top 3, including “cold plunge Vancouver” and “bathhouse Vancouver”

  • Referring domains increased by 50%

Organic Traffic Growth

In just 1.5 months, organic search grew from 556 to nearly 3,000 monthly users — a 434% increase.

This surge positioned organic search as the fastest-growing acquisition channel.

Engagement & Returning Users

Organic users not only grew in volume, but also showed the strongest loyalty and engagement.

With 55s average engagement and 929 returning visitors, organic became the highest-quality traffic source.

Keyword Rankings

Keywords jumped dramatically, with ‘ice bath and sauna’ moving from position 58 → 5 and ‘cold plunge Vancouver’ entering the top 3.

Overall, we increased over 15 keywords into higher positions.

We moved them into the top 3 position for the following keywords

What We Did


We started by identifying and researching high intent, low competition keywords. From their we added it to their meta data and built helpful, credible content around the benefits of sauna and cold plunge and added extensive internal linking. We then had the client include this in their newsletter that was sent to their current mailing list to encourage people to view the blog.

Link Building


Secured placements in high-authority niche-specific publications, converted unlinked mentions into backlinks, and grew referring domains by 50%. We focused on finding local directories and ensuring we had consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) across various platforms like Apple Maps, Trip Advisor, Yellow Pages and more. We also found many publications that did not backlink to Aetherhaus. We reached out and changed that.


Review Management

As we were researching competitors, we noticed they had a lot of reviews. We showed the staff how to gently encourage feedback and reviews. We wanted authentic reviews and the staff didn't incentivized; simply asked. Reviews are crucial for local SEO so we emphasized the importance of this and encouraged new workflows for getting reviews. They gained over 50 new 4.5/5 reviews in 1.5 months.
